Luke Stephens - Owner
Luke started Skywalker Roofing in 2018. Working in the roofing industry in both California and South Dakota, Luke brings a wide range of roofing knowledge on residential and commercial projects. Luke saw a business opportunity and coupled with his ambition and vision for the future, was able to ascend Skywalker Roofing into a top tiered roofing company in just a few short years. Luke’s mission statement for Skywalker is that we are “A Master Of One”. Roofing is all we do and we do it well.
A Northern California native, Luke played football at Butte Community College before transferring to Dakota Wesleyan University. He graduated with a BS in Business Finance in 2016. After graduating from college, he moved back to California where he worked for a large roofing company learning all aspects of roofing before moving back to Brookings and starting Skywalker Roofing. In his spare time, Luke enjoys playing golf, jiu jitsu, and hanging out with his dog Byron.
Kristen Beer - Chief Financial Officer
Kristen has been in the construction industry for the past 4 years, mainly working in real estate development in several different departments such as HR, finance, IT and construction. Prior to working in real estate development, Kristen spent 18 years working in leadership roles in collegiate athletic departments around the country. Her expertise includes, accountability processes, human resources, financial control processes, and marketing strategies.
A Minnesota native, Kristen graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a BS in Sport Management. She was a student football manager and upon graduation, became the Assistant Equipment Manager for UCLA Football. In 2015, she relocated to Brookings and took the position for Head Equipment Manager for South Dakota State University for all sports, before leaving athletics and moving into real estate development. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Justin, and their three children.
Jamison Pitts - Sr. Estimator and Sales
Jamison has been in the building industry for the last 32 years, with the last 18 years in outside sales for Homestead Building Supply. Serving as Senior Estimator and Sales, Jamison utilizes his industry knowledge to identify, and problem solve difficult obstacles that come up ever-so often in the roofing industry.
Jamison grew up in the Brookings area and attended South Dakota State University, graduating with a BS in Economics in 2005. When he is not working, you can find Jamie on a poker run on his Harley, antiquing, or horseback riding in the Black Hills.
Byron - Sr. Public Relations
As the Senior Public Relations for Skywalker Roofing, Byron makes friends everywhere he goes with every wag and woof. He is paw-sitively charming and happily receives/demands all the pets.
